THE MARINA OF IBIZA:
The old fisherman quarter
Located in front of the port, the Marina neighborhood, next to Dalt Vila, dominates the entrance to Ibiza from the sea and has witnessed the passage of the different peoples who have arrived on the island throughout history, such as the Phoenicians. and Romans, and also, more recently, of all types of night lovers.
It was a hippy meeting place, the nerve center of gay Ibiza and the madness of the 80s that made the island famous from those times to the present. Now it is a perfect place to go out to dinner, have a drink with friends and watch the different Ibizas go by that still meet in this place on the island today.

Dalt VIla is the walled city. It is accessed from a cobblestone ramp that goes up the old moat and leads to a huge wooden gate. There are countless alleys between small white-painted buildings where it is possible to suddenly discover, on a corner, a terrace, a bar or a viewpoint with views of the city, the port and the sea.
The Old Town of the city was declared a UNESCO Heritage Site and has more than 2,500 years of history. You can’t miss the Cathedral of Santa María de Las Nieves or the Museo d’Art Contemporani d’Eivissa.
To Eat:
At the foot of the walled city and in the heart of the old town, the Croissant Show terrace, specialized in French pastries, is perfect to watch, while you have breakfast, the slow awakening of the island, or later, at snack time, how the night spreads over Ibiza.
In the La Marina neighborhood there is also the Casa Juan restaurant, with homemade food. It is a restaurant where residents of the island and tourists mix and where you must share a table and cannot reserve. But that is part of its charm, because it keeps the essence, the carefreeness, of other times at a more than reasonable price for these times.
